Spread across the area of 290 sq.km., the Mont Abu Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the prime tourists attractions of this city established in 1960.

Guru Shikhar is the highest mountain peak standing at 1722 meters above sea level situated at about 15 kms from the main city.
Gangaur Festivals Gangaur Festival is celebrated from the month of March-April which is celebrated for about more than a month. During this festival married women and young girls worship goddess Parvati and the image of Gangaur is taken from village to village. This festival is majorly celebrated by the Garasia tribe from Sirohi-Mount Abu. Summer Festival Summer festival is celebrated in the month of May which is organized by the Rajasthan Tourism department and the Municipal Authority of Mount Abu. It is a three day long festival full with cultural programmes and folk dance and songs. The festival sets on start from the RTDC Hotel Shikhar and ends at Nakki Lake. Winter Festivals Celebrated during the month of December, Winter festival is also an initiative by the Rajasthan Tourism department and the Municipal Authority of Mount Abu. The festival however is on a much larger scale with plenty more of activities that are added with sport events and many other attractions.
Tourists can shop in Mount Abu at various street markets that have Rajasthani and Gujarati traditional items and souvenirs. The markets also offer Rajasthani attires and cuisines and many other things.
