Toranmal is a famous hill station known for its huge tribal belt, as seen from the neighboring settlements that house the tribals – the Bhils, the Pavaras, and the Nhahalas. All of them have their own distinct culture and life styles. Celebrations are in the form of dance rituals performed by the tribes, named as AdivasiPawara and Songadya dances and the Tipari tribal dance. These dances are complemented by drum beats and outmoded music.
There are very limited shopping zones around in Toranmal, and much of it is due to the fact tribal population is very high. Most of the markets around sell handicrafts, showcasing the distinct tribal culture. Clay crafts are also prominent and tourists can come across many ornaments and articles of utility made from clay.
