Kausani

Kausani is a small hill station located in the district of Almora at the height of 6075 feet above sea level, originally known as Valna. It spreads from Someshwar Valley on one side to Baijnath & Garur Valley on the other side. Kausani is famously known as the place of ashrams having many ashrams where many prominent people from history have stayed. It offers many activities like trekking, rock climbing, paragliding, etc. Mahatma Gandhi called it ‘Switzerland of India’ for it resembled Switzerland with its beauty. The best time to visit Kausani is from April to June and from September to May
