Onam It is the principal festival eminent and celebrated with rich fervor in Munnar. This festival marks ten days of singing, dancing, and feasting. There are also religious ceremonies that complement the celebration. Adding to whole of extravaganza are the snake boat races organized by involvement from local management, at several places on the palm-fringed lagoons.

Munnar is best known for tea, coffee and spices. There are several shops spread around the hill station selling these stuffs at affordable prices.
